How right you are. I did an evening U14G rec game at the HS/community
stadium couple seasons ago. No problem, I thought, they can turn on the
lights at halftime. No one there knew how to get them on.
So, toward the end of the second half, it got dark. Oh, and the home team
was in black. I didn't have to call it short, but I sure didn't add any
time.
After the game, my AR told me he kept losing the 2ld. He'd be looking right
at her, but then she would turn sideways so he didn't see her number anymore
and she would disappear into the gloom!
btw, I did a search once on "sunset" and found a neat site from the Navy
where you type in the zip code and date, and it tells you the sunset time.
