Ron, where have you heard/read that time is not added for the scoring of goals? This is something we have been taught for many years and have seen done in many a game at all levels. As to a shutout and Law 18, I never said that the goals were all against one team. In fact, the game ended with a one-goal differential (as it was at half-time too).

Steve, Time is NOT added for goals for goals are part of the game. Now if there is UB taking place between the goal and KO then add appropriate time/sanctions. Time is added for all substitutions (which is ignored greatly in the youth leagues), sanctions, injuries, and extenuating incidents such as outside agents, weather, equipment failure, etc. I usually add 20-30 sec/sub, 30-60/sanction, and whatever time for injuries and/or incidents. Also, Law 18 comes into play in most shutout games. Ron in VA
