Subject: Denial of scoring opp. and cards

Doug Wiggins request; Once again I am confused by semantics and what the LOTG really says.... If advantage is invoked by the referee and a goal is scored, how can a player be punished for denying a goal scoring opportunity ( other than maybe a Caution for Unsporting Behavior .) Please, please, please..tell me where in all published materials by USSF or FIFA...can we find specific wording that states we must eject a player in this situation. If there is nothing in writing that says we MUST eject a player in this situation...please don't tell us we must! Sincerely, DW ++++++++++ [If no other misconduct took place] If a goal is scored (by same attacker or his/her team mate) do not use cards at all. Your cards will backfire on you. The UEFA final case is a classic example of "NO CARDS" necessary. Herr Sepp Blatter was mad at the referee ... he blasted him in public. The ref (apparently) did acknowledge hius error. DA
