Did anyone see the PK called in the Chelsea match yesterday? The Chelsea player, Ivanovic was brought down just inside the 18 with a very late slide, but the ball was almost at the goal line at the time. It did not look as though Ivanovic could have caught up to the ball, but the PK was given regardless, correctly IMO. Why? Because it was a DFK foul, it was in the PA, therefore a PK. Did the referee give Chelsea a win by giving the PK? Certainly not. That is why those white lines are painted on the grass. Ed
